The Liverpool team in the Premier League has succeeded in dealing with Aberdeen right-back Calvin Ramsey.
The Champions League finalists are in talks with Dons over a possible deal for the 18-year-old. It is understood that the initial fee of £4m is being discussed, with additions which could see the total figure rise to around £6m.
As Sky Sports News reported earlier this week, personal terms are not thought to be an issue and Ramsey’s preferred choice is Liverpool, over a host of interested clubs from England, Italy and Germany.
If the deal goes to the table, it will be the highest Aberdeen fee ever received for a transfer.
Their current record is £3 million from Nottingham Forest for Scott McKenna. Dons also received an additional £1m at centre-back this summer following Forrest’s promotion to the Premier League.
