Blind backs Ten Hag to deliver at Man United

Ajax defender Daley Blind has backed Eric Ten Hag to bring success back to Manchester United if given the time and resources to establish his own style of play.

Blind described United’s new manager as a “control freak” and supported the Dutchman to restore success to the club if he was given the time and resources to establish his own style of play.

The 32-year-old, who spent four seasons at United before leaving for Ajax in 2018, won three Eredivisie titles and two domestic cups under Ten Hag.

“He’s really social,” the defender told United’s website.

“I think, also at Ajax, he knows that everyone at the club is important. Everyone has to be involved to get that feeling of winning, of winning mentality.”

“He realizes that and wants to keep everything close. He’s also a control freak and wants to be on top of everything. I think that’s a special feature to have when you’re that good.”
