Aaron Ramsdale is set to start in one of his last two Nations League matches.
Jordan Pickford has played both England matches so far, but manager Gareth Southgate has confirmed he will rest the Everton player.
England host Italy on Saturday and Hungary three days later, with Southgate keen to use one of the matches to see what his other goalkeepers can offer, with only four matches left until the World Cup finals in Qatar later this year.
“I’m not going to give it all up but we’ll have to look at another goalkeeper at least once in this period,” Southgate said.
“We felt this was the right way to approach this group of games and we also know we need to try to give these boys more experience as well.”
The Three Lions did not win their opening matches, losing 1-0 to Hungary before drawing 1-1 with Germany.
