🚨OFFICIAL: Lacazzette returns to Lyon

Olympique Lyonnais have confirmed the signing of Alexandre Lacazette on a free transfer.

The Frenchman recently left Arsenal after his contract expired and returned to the French capital after five years in north London.

Lacazette, who came through the ranks of Lyon’s academy, signed a three-year contract, in which he will remain at the club until at least 2025.

The 31-year-old left Lyon for Arsenal in 2017, was North London’s top scorer in two seasons – in 2017/18, and also in 2020/21, and enjoyed success under three different coaches.

Laka won the FA Cup in 2020, the FA Shield in 2017, and was named Arsenal’s Player of the Year for 2018/19.

And it became Lyon’s second signing of the season after the arrival of Remy Rio, who returned as Lacazette.

In addition, the club has confirmed the contract extension of Maxines Cakeret and Anthony Lopez.
