Reports from Italy claim that Napoli have received an offer from German champions Bayern Munich for Victor Osimhen.

This comes after the Bavarians got a reality check by their star striker Robert Lewandowski, who clearly declared that he is finished with the club.

Lewandowski made the comments while on international duty with Poland. “One thing is for sure today – my story with Bayern Munich is over. After everything that has happened in recent months, I cannot imagine more good cooperation,” Lewandowski said at a press conference during international duty with Poland.

“I realize that moving would be the best solution for both sides.”

Bayern are now scrambling to find a replacement for the man who rose to become the second-best scorer in their history and, according to reports, have named Victor Osimhen as an option.

The Nigerian striker finished off the just-concluded Serie A Young Player of the Year award for his exploits in Napoli as he finished top scorer. His performances have been hampered by injuries, but in his day, he remains one of the most feared forwards to play against, according to a number of Serie A defenders.

Osimhen is also a target of Manchester United Arsenal and Newcastle United and has been linked with Liverpool. Some calls have been made by critics for Juventus to go after Osimhen to compare him to another great striker, Dusan Vlahovic.

Bayern’s interest is the latest but Corriere dello Sport It states that they only contacted Naples to request information about a possible transfer. Napoli have been clear about his €100m price tag and will only listen to offers that might turn their heads.

But Osimhen is committed to his future to the club, his contract expires in 2024 and he hopes he can stay longer and help the club fight for the Scudetto.

Lazio and Napoli are considering exchanging players

Meanwhile, Lazio and Napoli are discussing a possible swap deal for two of their players. Peter Zelensky and Luis Alberto.

Zielinski was one of Maurizio Sarri’s favorite players when he was coach of Napoli a few years ago. Now at Lazio, he is looking to be reunited with the Polish attacking midfielder and is responsible for the discussions surrounding the two clubs at the moment.

Sarri will kill two birds with one stone as his relationship with the Spanish midfielder has reportedly deteriorated and he will be happy to see his back. He will also do Napoli a favor with his desire to be reunited with Zielinski as the Polish midfielder has been poor under Spalletti and is currently for sale.

The value of both attacking midfielders is estimated at around 40 – 50 million euros, so a direct exchange is possible.
