Sevilla won’t make Martial’s loan deal permanent

Seville president Jose Castro has revealed that the La Liga team will make the loan deal of Anthony Martial permanent.

Martial joined Sevilla on loan during the January transfer window for the remainder of the season. The La Liga side was eager to make it permanent but now seems impossible after Castro revealed Martial will return to Old Trafford.

“Anthony Martial will return to Man United,” he said.

“We spent a lot of money on him but it didn’t work out. Also, he had injuries and we wouldn’t buy him a permanent deal.”

The Frenchman had fallen off the table at Old Trafford with his best season being 2019/20 where he scored 23 goals while providing 12 assists to the Red Devils.
