Luka Modric aims a dig at Mbappe after Madrid snub

Luka Modric has become the latest Real Madrid player to aspire to face Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe, after he ignored the opportunity to move to the Spanish capital.

Reports spread that Mbappe had a verbal agreement with Real Madrid to move to Laliga this summer, but the French player changed tack by signing a new deal with the Ligue One giant, something the Spanish club did not take seriously.

Modric’s contract with Real Madrid will expire next month, but unlike Mbappe, the Croatian wants to continue with the European giants and build on ten glorious years but will not get ideas from Mbappe.

“I haven’t extended my contract with Real Madrid yet, but I won’t do like Mbappe. And I hope the club doesn’t do that to me. We have a good relationship. I’ve said many times that I want it,” the 36-year-old said in an interview with COPE, according to To the Daily Mail: “I am ending my career here.

These sentiments come after Karim Benzema, Mbappe’s national in the national team, published a post on Tupac’s Instagram post that many felt related to his French teammate. He has since claimed that the photo had nothing to do with Mbappe’s situation and did not feel the need to talk about it in a final interview before the Champions League.
