Bellerin waves goodbye to Betis as he prepares Arsenal return

Hector Bellerin has made an emotional farewell to boyhood club Real Betis as the full-back prepares to return to Arsenal after his loan move.

Bellerin spent last season on loan at Seville, where the move helped the Spaniard “fall in love with football again”.

“Even if I try I find it very difficult to express what this year means to me,” he said. “

There are no words I can find to describe my feelings, so I hope these pictures help you all to understand.

“Thank you to everyone in the Betis world for helping me fall in love with the sport again, for all of your passion and for making me feel like your character from the start.

“Thank you to my family and my people for their unconditional love and support and for introducing me from such an early age to this passion called Betis. Thank you, thank you, thank you and I hope we meet again. Viva el Betis.”

The 27-year-old is also keen to return to Betis and hopes to reach an agreement soon.

“I have made my position clear to both Betis and Arsenal: I want to stay at Betis,” he explained.

“Now we have two months to find the best solution. I made an effort to come here and I’m ready to make any effort to stay in Betis again.”
