Kurt Zouma has just pleaded guilty to animal cruelty charges after video evidence showed him kicking and hitting a cat.
Zuma appeared in court with his brother Yuan, who filmed the video that went viral on social media in February and sparked outrage. Kurt Zouma has admitted violating the animal welfare law for two reasons.
Kurt Zouma is seen falling, kicking and slapping one of his cats in the video, laughing in the background. The 27-year-old then follows the animal before hitting its head and tossing it with sneakers.
The case was started by the RSPCA, an animal protection organization.
Security guards pushed the two brothers to court, where they put overcoats over their faces.
