Kylian Mbappe is the most frequently traded player in football and the last 24 hours was all about the French player.
The 23-year-old’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain will expire at the end of the summer and there is a lot of talk about his next destination.
Mbappe announced last Sunday that he was about to issue a statement regarding his future amid strong reports that he had already agreed to a five-year deal with Real Madrid.
Amid all the rumours, PSG have always kept hope of convincing the player to stay at the club and recent reports suggest there could be a turn.
According to Di Marzio, Mbappe is now strongly considering staying at PSG and could announce a decision on his future by Sunday. This could come as a blow to Real Madrid, who have been somewhat optimistic about signing the Frenchman.
What was said?
Amid all the uncertainty surrounding his future, Mbappe’s mother gave some clarity on the situation, while confirming that the player already has an initial agreement with both Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.
“We will not hold new meetings to discuss Mbappe’s future, these meetings are now over,” she said in an interview with Cora Plus.
“We have now reached an agreement with both Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, and the discussions are over because it is Kylian who has to choose now.”
“The two shows, PSG Show and Real, are almost identical. In Real, my son will control his image rights! We will now wait for his decision.”
“In the Real Madrid offer we have the full power of image rights, on the other hand there is an economic balance that equals this thing, in short there is no difference between the two are the same.”
In a similar way, Paris Saint-Germain coach Mauricio Pochettino claimed that he is unsure of Mbappe’s future and does not know what will happen to the player’s future.
I don’t know what his decision is. “I think it’s a personal matter for Kylian and for the club,” Pochettino said when asked about the situation.
Paris Saint-Germain or Real Madrid – it’s all up to Mbappe
Paris Saint-Germain will not fall without a fight and his latest bid for Mbappe is an “insult” to football. The French giants are said to have offered the player ‘total control’ of the club’s sporting venture, while also offering him a whopping £4m-a-month in wages and £100m registration fee.
As for Real Madrid, they hope the Frenchman will keep his promise and join them regardless, having failed to convince him to join last summer.
