Erik ten Hag: My focus is now on Manchester United

Eric Ten Hag has confirmed that he is ready to start his new job at Manchester United on Monday.

While Ten Hag has just signed a long-term contract with the Premier League giants, his current focus is on helping Ajax win the Eredivisie title again.

The Dutch side ended their season with a 2-2 draw against Vitesse on Sunday afternoon, having been crowned champions earlier in the week.

After that match, Ten Hag confirmed rumors that he will devote all his attention to United starting this week, rather than go on Ajax’s post-season trip to Curacao.

“Yes, there will be a party tomorrow .” Sky Sports News quoted the 52-year-old as saying [Monday] With all the staff, but this will be then. No, I will not join them [to Curacao]. That’s right, I think that’s understandable.

“There is a lot of work to be done there [at United]. Definitely. There is a lot of work in every club. The manager’s job focuses specifically on preparations for the upcoming season. There is much work to be done in this regard.

“In terms of the staff, there are many things to organize. Also in terms of the team and over the next several days, or indeed as of tomorrow [Monday]We will focus on that intensively.”

Ten Hag has also stated that he wants Cristiano Ronaldo to stay in his squad for the 2022-23 season.
