According to reports, Real Madrid are growing more confident about their chances of completing a move to sign Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe this summer.
The France international is just six weeks away from ending his contract and looks likely to leave the French giants on a free transfer this summer.
As it stands, PSG is still hoping to convince Mbappe to sign a new contract and has even offered him a massive salary increase. However, the Frenchman has yet to respond to any of these offers either.
According to the French port Le ParisienReal Madrid officials are so confident of this move that they have already informed the staff and players of the upcoming arrival.
Although Mbappe did not make any official announcement about his future until the end of the French Ligue 1 season, which ends on May 21.
The Frenchman enjoyed another fruitful campaign, scoring 30 goals and 19 assists from 41 games in all competitions this season.
Real Madrid’s obsession with Mbappe
Real Madrid is easily one of the strongest teams in Europe and it is clearly possible.
However, it is also clear that they have an aging squad led by Karim Benzema who is approaching 35 years old. With that in mind, they are already looking for another gem to replace Benzema and it is better to do so than the smaller and faster. , a more skilled and prolific citizen of Kylian Mbappe. The 23-year-old certainly fits the bill for signing ‘galactico’ with huge money and a reputation on his shoulders.
It is not surprising that two of the richest football teams compete for Mbappe. His ability is simply out of this world. There’s also the obvious fact that he’s still young despite boasting numbers that strikers five years older than him can be proud of.
At just 23 years old, Mbappe could still lead the PSG or Real Madrid streak for the next decade. His goal-scoring rate is insane, with a respectable 167 goals in 215 appearances in his time so far with PSG. No player aged 23 or younger comes close to these numbers, with the exception of Erling Haaland.
It may only be a matter of time before Real Madrid announces what could be one of the biggest transfers in recent history. His last major spending on Eden Hazard didn’t go as planned, but the move to Mbappe will be a lot different.
The Frenchman still has his best years ahead of him and is easily one of the best players in the world. How good it is that they will literally get it without paying a transfer fee.
