Premier League side Arsenal have held talks over the summer transfer of Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus.
Arsenal are eager to rebuild ahead of the new season and have identified Jesus as the perfect striker. Marcelo Pettinati, Jesus’ agent, revealed that he had held talks with Arsenal regarding the Brazilian’s move to the Emirates.
Arsenal have held talks over the summer transfer of Gabriel Jesus and it is something the Manchester City striker is seriously considering, his agent said.
“We spoke with Arsenal about Gabriel Jesus,” he said.
“We love the project – it’s a possibility we are discussing. There are six other clubs interested in Gabriel. He is focused on the finals with Man City; we’ll see.”
Jesus has another year on his contract with City but has yet to commit to his future with the club after agreeing with Erling Haaland.
However, technical director Mikel Arteta gave a candid response to his question about the speculation surrounding Gabriel.
“I’m not talking about any player who is not with us.”
