Fabinho set to be available for the Champions League final

Liverpool received news that lifted their spirits with reports that Fabinho would be fit for the Champions League final.

The midfielder was fatigued during the Reds’ win over Aston Villa on Tuesday night and there were fears he would be out for some time. While the player may not be fit for this weekend’s FA Cup final against Chelsea, it is expected that he will be fit when Real Madrid call in Paris.

The physical coach of the Brazilian national team, Fabio Mahserdjian, explained the player’s injury situation, saying: “We do not have all the information yet, but we are optimistic that he will reach the Champions League final.”

The 28-year-old has been included in Brazil’s squad for next month’s international matches against Japan, South Korea and Argentina.

However, the player is set to miss Liverpool’s recent Premier League matches against Southampton and Wolverhampton due to the nature of the problem.
