English giants Liverpool are calm about Sadio Mane’s future despite reports this week of Bayern Munich’s interest in signing the player.
The player’s contract with the Reds expires in 2023, but the club is yet to sit down on a new contract speaking of something that has alerted teams in Europe.
90 minutes reports that the Senegalese have been asked to wait until the summer to renew as the club continues to fight on three fronts which is something his representative has not taken lightly as other players have been negotiating new deals during the season.
Reports from Germany point to a meeting between Mane’s agents and Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic, although there is no “official dialogue” with Liverpool.
And Salihamidzic himself admitted on Sunday that they will make waves in the upcoming transfer window, saying: “Let yourself be surprised. We have to see what is possible and what is not. We have creative ideas.”
The Senegal international is believed to be asking between £250,000 to £300,000 a week at Liverpool, something that needs further negotiations for the club to ratify. Mohamed Salah is in a similar situation with his contract due to expire in 12 months, although his demands are much higher.
