Liverpool’s Fabinho sends warning to Manchester City

Liverpool midfielder Fabinho has sent a warning to title rivals Manchester City ahead of the final games of the season.

City have a three-point lead over the Reds after beating Newcastle on Sunday and Liverpool’s draw with Tottenham but according to Fabinho, they haven’t given up in the title chase.

“We know we are fighting against one of the best teams in the world. We know that if we lose points in the fight against Man City, maybe it can cost us that title. But we are human beings. [and] They are human too.

“Hopefully they lose points and, as I said before, we will keep fighting and try to win the next game against Aston Villa,” Fabinho said.

Liverpool face Aston Villa on Tuesday before facing Chelsea in the FA Cup Final this weekend. The Reds return to league matches against Southampton next week before ending their season against Wolverhampton.

On the City side, they have a date with Wolverhampton next before the clash against West Ham and the final day’s test against Aston Villa in the Etihad.
