Harry Maguire set to return before end of season

Manchester United manager Ralph Rangnick has revealed that captain Harry Maguire may return to the field before the end of the season.

The club captain missed his team’s last two games with a knee injury not to be understood as too serious with previous reports ruling him out of the club’s remaining matches.

But Rangnick said after the Brentford game: “Harry Maguire may be available again. We have to wait and see if he can train on (Wednesday).”

On the other hand, Rangnick appears to have ruled Jadon Sancho until the end of the season. The winger had tonsillitis which also kept him away from the last two matches.

“If (he comes back), he might be in the last game. I was in contact with him this afternoon. He was in the hospital until this morning so he just came home today. He still feels not feeling well, sure, not (to Brighton)” added Rangnick. )”.

Edinson Cavani and Fred returned to Rangnick’s 3-0 win over Brentford, but the interim coach was left without Luke Shaw and Paul Pogba.
