Manchester United target Frenkie de Jong has confirmed that he had crucial talks with Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez.
There have been reports that De Jong is not happy at Camp Nou due to his lack of more playing time at the club and it appears he was furious after taking off in the 60th minute of defeat to Rayo Vallecano last week.
After his victory over Mallorca on Sunday, the Dutchman has now revealed that he met face to face with Xavi over the situation and that they were on good terms.
“The conversation was good,” De Jong told Movistar. “The coach told me he trusts me and I’m confident too. Everyone is happy. The pressure is always good, never too much.”

There have been allegations that the midfielder is keen to be reunited with Eric ten Hag at Old Trafford afterwards with the formerly working duo at Ajax.
