Reports: Real Madrid make approach to sign Reece James from Chelsea

The Spanish giants, Real Madrid, have taken an offer to sign Chelsea right-back Reece James.

Chelsea have yet to offer Reese a new deal, and according to reports, Real Madrid are keen to sign the England international. The Spanish giants are keen to exploit any deadlock in contract talks with the academy graduate who has been highly rated by London.

Los Blancos are one of the biggest European clubs that have approached James about a possible transfer. Madrid’s plan is to sign the defender in the summer transfer window of 2023.

In the short term, the priority of La Liga remains to secure Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe, having already agreed to the transfer of Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger.

Carlo Ancelotti’s team is also ready to challenge the Blues and Liverpool to sign Monaco midfielder Aurelien Chuamini.
