Manchester United’s interim coach, Ralf Rangnick, insists the club need to include “two strikers” in the summer.
Speaking after United’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea on Thursday night, Rangnick admitted that the Red Devils had become dependent on Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored the equalizer at Old Trafford. The Portuguese is back on the scorers list, scoring his eighth striker in United’s last nine goals in the Premier League.
“Yes, at the moment we depend a lot on Cristiano,” Rangnick said.
“He also showed a good performance when Chelsea were in possession, and he helped a lot in the second half defensively.”
“There has to be a focus on bringing in two new strikers, that’s for sure.”
