Alex Iwobi insists Everton are ready to fight for survival in the Premier League after a turbulent season.
The Toffees are currently ranked 18th on the record and are still not secure with Burnley and Leeds United as their closest rivals in the battle to stay afloat. They are two points from the safety zone but with a game in hand over their close rivals.
In an interview with the club’s website, Iwobi said: “We are ready to fight, it will not be easy but we are ready for it.” We will not go into the derby defeat. Especially with the captain, Seamus (Coleman), he always helps us keep our heads up and back again. We need everyone. It is a collective matter and everyone is ready to fight.
βWhen we have the full potential at Goodison Park behind us, we know he feels like an extra man on our team. We feel that when we play we are confident we can get a result.β – Tweet embed pic.twitter.com/Eyp6AAtpLo

“We know where we are. We will focus on ourselves, prepare for Chelsea and try to get a result. We have great harmony and a great team spirit. I’m sure we can get out of this situation.”
In the remaining six matches, after the Chelsea match, Everton will face Leicester City, Watford, Brentford and Crystal Palace before ending the season against Arsenal.
