Antonio Conte’s links to PSG have been erased by transfer coach Fabrizio Romano.
Earlier in the week, there were reports that Conte had made himself available to PSG who are on the verge of parting with Mauricio Pochettino with Argentina set to return to Tottenham.
But speaking on the Here We Go Podcast (h/t Spurs Web), Romano said: “The first thing I want to make clear in this Antonio Conte story has to do with the rumors you read all over England and France, anywhere not from Antonio.
“If you think about what happened in November with Nuno and rebuild everything at Tottenham, which is why for Antonio the focus is now on the pitch and on these really complex finals and after that, as he always said at the end of the season that he will discuss with the club Daniel Levy. and Fabio Paratici.
“Antonio will be really clear because he is convinced, Champions League or not continuing with Tottenham they need something important. It means new signings, it means new contracts for important players.
“That is why you can read many rumors and it is of course normal for PSG to look at other coaches because the rumors that Pochettino is about to leave the club are true.
“So, for Mauricio Pochettino, there are new opportunities to leave the club at the end of the season, we are waiting for calls from PSG and this has been in the air since February, so it seems clear for Pochettino.”
Pochettino is said to be in frequent contact with the Spurs boss and after missing the Man United job, he wants to return to England with Spurs.
