Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola has responded to rumors linking striker Erling Haaland to Manchester City.
Haaland’s father, Alf-Inge, played for City previously and there were reports that his son was keen to move to the Etihad, according to Guardiola, before facing Brighton on Wednesday, and he had no answer to such links.
“There is no answer to your question,” Guardiola said. “I have another worry in my head, which is to think about what will happen at this club next season.”

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that City and Haaland’s agent Mino Raiola has started negotiations over the player, but no official approach has been put forward so far regarding Borussia Dortmund.
Haaland has a penalty clause in his contract that City are willing to meet as they battle a host of clubs across Europe for the signing of the Norwegian who is currently one of the best strikers in world football.
