Liverpool 4-0 Man United: Klopp humiliates Rangnick at Anfield to go top

Liverpool advanced to the top of the Premier League table with a 4-0 victory over Manchester United on Tuesday night.

The victory boosted the Reds’ unbeaten record in the league to 13 games, after he entered the match with a morale victory over Man City, who is his only competitor for the league title.

They advanced within five minutes when Sadio Mane played Trent Alexander-Arnold in an acre space, and full-back Luis Diaz found unmarked winger Luis Diaz with a precise pass for the Colombian to take advantage of close range.

In the first half dominated by the hosts, they doubled their advantage shortly after when Mane hit the smart ball over the top. Mohamed Salah played inside, and the Egyptians shot past David de Gea and into the left corner.

Despite returning in the second half as a changed team after Jadon Sancho’s introduction of Phil John, United found themselves three goals behind when Liverpool responded, and Diaz smashed a cross into the area to quietly give Mane his first shot. Right corner to keep Klopp’s team out of sight.

Salah added an extra shine to the scoring streak in the final stages when he threw the ball over De Gea to take the total head-to-head score of this season to 9-0.
