Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo announced the death of his son, days after his birth.
The couple had announced in October 2021 that they were expecting twins, and recently revealed that they are blessed with a boy and a girl.
Their statement read: “It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our child. It is the greatest pain any parent can feel.
“Just the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness.
“We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support. We are all shocked by this loss and kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time.
“Our baby, you are our angel. We will always love you.”

Ronaldo is now in doubt over Tuesday night’s Premier League soccer match against Liverpool.
