Sebastian Kell, director of Borussia Dortmund, has flatly rejected claims that Manchester City have agreed to sign Erling Braut Haaland.
Pep Guardiola’s team is considered the favorite to acquire Haaland, although they will face stiff competition from Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
According to a recent source, City believe they have already won the signature race for the 21-year-old, seniors who also want to finish moving to the Etihad Stadium.
However, Cale pointed out HaalandA buyout option of €80m (£67m), he told Sky Deutschland: “There’s a buyout clause, you know, and there’s a deadline.
“We want to make a decision as quickly as possible. Erling always wants to play and you always try to make a good decision with him.”
When asked if any team had shown an interest in pushing Haaland’s release clause, Kiehl said firmly: “No.”
Haaland scored 25 goals and made 9 assists in 26 games with Dortmund this season, including two goals in the 6-1 win over Wolfsburg on Saturday.
