Milan vs Genoa
Genoa sit precariously in the 18th position and are four points behind after winning only one of their last 29 Serie A matches. That’s what landing would look like in anyone’s books, and now they face a trip to take on league leaders Milan at the San Siro on Friday night. The Rossoneri are in a 10-match unbeaten run and have kept clean sheets in each of their last five matches. On a night when city rivals could overtake Inter Milan, Milan could not afford any mistakes and would stick to all three points.
Southampton vs Arsenal
The Saints have lost four out of five, most recently with six crushing goals at the hands of Chelsea. It was the 12th time they had been beaten by more than 3 goals under Austrian tactician Ralph Hessenhuttl since he took charge in December 2018. Arsenal’s talent for early goals has evaded them in recent weeks with three defeats in their last four games at the worst possible time. In their quest to reach the top four, but they must return to winning ways against the Saints’ generous defense.
Manchester City and Liverpool
The giants of England have been getting to know each other better lately. Pep Guardiola’s side and Jurgen Klopp played a high-quality 2-2 draw in the Premier League last weekend, and now they meet again at Wembley with a place in the FA Cup final at stake. The Reds drew 3-3 in the middle of the week with Benfica and advanced 6-4 on aggregate to the semi-finals of this season’s Champions League. City did it the hard way with a poor and difficult 0-0 draw at the Wanda Metropolitano against Atlรฉtico Madrid to book their place in the semi-finals, 1-0 on aggregate. But that result came at a cost, as Kevin De Bruyne and Kyle Walker both exited injury. De Bruyne in particular would be a huge waste, given his recent brilliance form and ability to make crucial contributions against top teams.
Liverpool rested seven of its leading lights against Benfica. Van Dijk, Robertson, Alexander-Arnold, Fabinho, Thiago, Mane and Salah will all return. Salah scored seven goals in 14 games against City so he will be eager to go. Prior to this match, Liverpool seemed to have a physical advantage over City, but it would not be surprising to see this semi-final go all the way, as the last two Wembley matches in 2016 and 2019 were decided by penalties.
Chelsea vs Crystal Palace
The Eagles Patrick Vieira used to start games in shining light, scoring 70% of their league goals since mid-February in the first half. With Chelsea’s young star duo Kai Havertz and Mason Mount at their highest scoring level, and Wilf Zaha arguably enjoying the best season of his career at the Palace, there are plenty of offensive threats on the show. We could have the classic capital on our hands.
Bayer Leverkusen vs Leipzig
RB Leipzig will consolidate their excellent showing in Bergamo as they beat Atalanta to reach the semi-finals of this season’s Europa League. A 2-0 win over one of Europe’s most developed teams is no accident, and now RB Leipzig can jump Leverkusen to third place in the Bundesliga standings with a win before they prepare for the semi-finals of the German Football League against Union Berlin and the four finals of the European League. Clash with the Scottish Rangers.
Christopher Nkunko scored Leipzig’s two goals against Atalanta, taking his tally for the season to 30 in all competitions, an impressive figure for one of Europe’s most exciting real estate players. When the big teams meet in the Bundesliga, there are usually goals. Leverkusen lost 5-1 to Bayern Munich, and their match against Borussia Dortmund scored seven goals, and they won 3-1 at the Leipzig stadium.
As for Leipzig, they recently lost 3-2 to Bayern and won 4-1 to Dortmund, and their other match against Bayern Munich ended in a 4-1 loss. Get ready for Leverkusen striker Patrick Schick (20) and Christopher Nkunku (17) to add here to their Bundesliga goal tally.
sevilla vs real madrid match
Sevilla have the only record remaining at home unbeaten in La Liga, with 11 wins and five draws, but they have failed to score in three of their last four matches in all competitions. The Real Madrid visitors can get closer to the title with a win and we support them to do so, storming the fort of former coach Julen Lopetegui in the process.
