Klopp provides Salah and Van Dijk injury updates

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp has provided an injury update on Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah.

Both players missed Wednesday’s Champions League quarter-final match against Benfica, which saw Liverpool advance 6-4 on aggregate but Klopp is confident they will be available to face Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final on Saturday.

“We (Van Dijk) missed us; we played the last line completely new and lost the last line boys if I wanted to. (Van Dijk) was not hurt. Diogo took a hit in the first half, I know. About knock Mo, I don’t really know, no one told me distance.

“I changed my physical job and no one told me Mo had a problem, so for now everyone should be fine,” Klopp told the club’s website.

The Reds are on track to win four times this season, and the FA Cup Final will give them a chance to win their first title of the season as they still contend for the Premier League, Champions League and League Cup.
